Ruby Tuesday is hosted by The Teach over at Work of the Poet. I found out about it from Quilly at Quilly's Pacific...Paridise? I thought it would be fun to try to do. One simply has to post a picture with red in it. From what I gather it doesn't have to be a lot of red, but it does have to be a picture taken by me.
I'll start with a little red along with a beautiful butterfly. This was taken at the Como Zoo in St. Paul, MN this past June. The Butterfly tent was amazing. I wish I had been able to stay longer.
Here's one with a lot of red. This was also taken at Como. I was in the Sunken Garden at the Conservatory. If you ever get a chance to go, do. It's lovely :)
Thank you for stopping by and thank you to Work of the Poet for hosting :)

WOW! Those are both gorgeous shots! I LOVE that butterfly!
Welcome, Minkydo! Great post for Ruby Tuesday! A little red and LOT of red. Aren't butterfly gardens beautiful? Glad you joined us! :) Thank quilly for me!
I like the butterfly.
Butterflies and roses go together well. A nice shot for a wonderful Ruby Tuesday.
Gorgeous shots. I have been in a couple of Butterfly houses and absolutely love them.
So glad you are joining Ruby Tuesday. Love the combination of a photo with a bit of red and one that sings of red. Such a delicate butterfly.
Beautiful pictures ! It's so long ago I haven't seen a butterfly, I don't know where they are. Years ago we had a lot in our garden.
Just beautiful! I think the butterfly should hop over to the flowers. It's a virtual world. Anything is possible...
Thanks for the visit this morning.
Wow! I am jealous of your butterfly photo. Great catch.
Your photo of the butterfly and the red blossom is strikingly beautiful! It is lovely.
Lovely photos. I don't see butterflies much any more - so sad.
Welcome to Ruby Tuesday! What a debut!
the butterfly and the flower are stunning
I laughed and sympathized over your profile quote. I've been a single mom since my son was 3. Many times it was iffy as to whether either one of us would survive.
Guess what! We did! He's 35 and a wonderful man. And I'm still alive to tell about it. :)
Great Ruby Tuesday choices!
I have an almost 18 year old, too.
Such a beautiful flower and butterfly. Great shots!
That butterfly is outstanding - I've never seen one like it. Excellent photos, thanks for sharing!

Great capture of the butterfly resting on the red flower :)
Wow! Both beautiful shots. That butterfly is enriched by that little bit of red contrast and the flowers are just plain beautiful.
Great red shots. That butterfly is different.
Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks for the red roses! Butterfly looks good too.
Excellent first post for Ruby Tuesday. Glad to have you join the group!
The butterfly is just stunning!
Thanks for introducing me to Ruby Tuesday, Melinda! Love your pics
what a great start!
the butterfly is just stunning, and the flowers beautiful (begonias?)
Dear Minkydo,
Charming nickname.
How patient must a person be to catch a photo of a butterfly.
I guess I will never be there. Thrilling, though, that you are, and can take me a step further in the land of elusive zoology.
