Tackle It Tuesday #5

I actually did this one a while back, but I never got around to posting it. I thought I would share what I did this week.

My project was to rip out shelves in the cold storage room. The shelves were set up for canning jars, quart and pint size, to be stored. While we are working on getting produce from the garden, we probably will not do canning or much of it. I just can't envision us having the energy :)

Every other shelf has been removed. The shelves went from 7 inches apart to 17 inches. Now they are actually useful for me.


Food for the wood stove in the garage.


It's still a work in progress. I haven't figured out exactly where I am putting things, but for now they are off the floor. A few things will be getting donated, given away or sold. I've got a pile of stuff to donate and a pile of boxes to burn. One step at a time.

The boxes are food for the wood stove and the black bag has donation stuff in it.


More donation stuff.


Now I need to get the donation stuff loaded in the car (or van when it's fixed) to drop off one Sunday.

Tackle It Tuesday #4

Today's chores:

1. Burn boxes (never made it out last week---might be too cold to go out today as we are below zero again)
2. Study!!!!!!!
3. Put organizer top from my old desk in bedroom to help keep papers neat(er). (It has been sitting collecting dust since last Sept. I think it's time to use it or toss it.)

Tackle It Tuesday #3

Today's project is not major, but it's long overdue. I need to burn the boxes that are stacked up in the garage. Not only do I have our normal household boxes, but I have some from that the window guys left.

A secondary project is to drop off a load of recycling uptown and pick up a couple of things at the grocery store (bread, pop for kid).

Tackle It Tuesdays (#2)

• clean stove in garage
• burn boxes
• put stuff back under sink (we had new faucets put in)
• haul recycling out

Accomplished so far (almost 7pm)

• stove cleaned
• started burning

My job for today was to vacuum out the van. It's needed a good vacuuming since our vacation in July. The dogs traveled with us and it was full of hair and dirt from camping equipment. DONE!
