Scriptures......

Be generous...
Blessed is he that considereth the poor:
the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive;
and he shall be blessed upon the earth:
and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

Psalm 41:1,2 KJV

Getting to Know Meme

Quilly created this meme the other day which I thought it looked like fun.  So here goes......

My Seven Most  Scurrilous Sins

  1. I prefer boxed mac and cheese to homemade.
  2. Sometimes I am too lazy to recycle when out and about the town.
  3. I spend too much time on Facebook, especially FarmTown.
  4. I like soap operas.
  5. I am messy, messy, messy.
  6. I like to stir the pot (usually in jest, but once in a while to be a brat).
  7. I sometimes call other drivers naughty names when they do stupid things.

Ruby Tuesday

It's been a while since I participated in any blog or photo memes so I thought I would try to ease back into it.  What a better one to start with than Ruby Tuesday.

Earlier this month on the 9th, I took a tour of the Polaris Experience Center in Roseau, MN.  It's basically a little tourist shop and museum of Polaris memorabilia.  The building was an old creamery that they converted into a couple different shops and restaurant.

BTW, I used to work for Polaris in both the manufacturing plant and plastic injection molding plant.  Great place to work and visit :)

Below is the second machine Polaris manufactured in 1956 (model Sno-Cat)

This one was built in 1963 (model L60).

This was 1970 (model X2)  which was built to beat the record for speed on snow.

More next week...hopefully.

Thank you for visiting.  To visit more Ruby Tuesday posts click here.  This meme is hosted by MaryT/The Teach at Work of the Poet.

Here With Me by Mercy Me

Artist - Mercy Me
Album - Undone
Lyrics - Here With Me

I long for your embrace
Every single day
To meet you in this place
And see you face to face

Will you show me?
Reveal yourself to me
Because of your mercy
I fall down on my knees

And I can feel your presence here with me
Suddenly I'm lost within your beauty
Caught up in the wonder of your touch
Here in this moment I surrender to your love

You're everywhere I go
I am not alone
You call me as your own
To know you and be known

You are holy
And I fall down on my knees

I can feel your presence here with me
Suddenly I'm lost within your beauty
Caught up in the wonder of your touch
Here in this moment I surrender to your love

I surrender to your grace
I surrender to the one who took my place

I can feel your presence here with me
Suddenly I'm lost within your beauty
Caught up in the wonder of your touch
Here in this moment I surrender...

I can feel your presence here with me
Suddenly I'm lost within your beauty
Caught up in the wonder of your touch
Here in this moment I surrender to your love

Christ the Lord is Risen Today-Steve Green

Christ the Lord is ris’n today, Al-le-lu-ia
Sons of men and angels say: Al-le-lu-ia
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Al-le-lu-ia
Sing ye heav’ns, and earth reply: Al-le-lu-ia

Love’s redeeming work is done, Al-le-lu-ia
Fought the fight, the battle won, Al-le-lu-ia
Death in vain forbids Him rise, Al-le-lu-ia
Christ has opened Paradise, Al-le-lu-ia

Soar we now where Christ has led, Al-le-lu-ia
Foll’wing our exalted head, Al-le-lu-ia
Made like him, like him we rise, Al-le-lu-ia
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Al-le-lu-ia

When I Survey the Wondrous Cross: Accapella version

When I survey the wondrous cross
on which the Prince of Glory died;
my richest gain I count but loss,
and pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
save in the death of Christ, my God;
all the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to his blood.

See, from his head, his hands, his feet,
sorrow and love flow mingled down.
Did e'er such love and sorrow meet,
or thorns compose so rich a crown.

Were the whole realm of nature mine,
that were an offering far too small;
love so amazing, so divine,
demands my soul, my life, my all.

Where You there When They Crucified My Lord -- A Capella

Were you there when they crucified my Lord ?
Were you there when they crucified my Lord ?
Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble
Were you there when they crucified my Lord ? Were you there when they nailed him to the tree ?
Were you there when they nailed him to the tree ?
Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble
Were you there when they nailed him to the tree ?

Were you there when they pierced him in the side ?
Were you there when they pierced him in the side ?
Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble
Were you there when they pierced him in the side ?

Were you there when they laid him in the tomb ?
Were you there when they laid him in the tomb ?
Oh, sometimes it causes me to tremble, tremble, tremble
Were you there when they laid him in the tomb ?

Door Knocking (joke)

 Door Knocking

Two church members were going door to door, and knocked on the door of a woman who was not happy to see them. She told them in no uncertain terms that she did not want to hear their message and slammed the door in their faces. To her surprise, however, the door did not close and, in fact, bounced back open. She tried again, really put her back into it, and slammed the door again with the same result-the door bounced back open.

Convinced these rude young people were sticking their foot in the door, she reared back to give it a slam that would teach them a lesson, when one of them said, "Ma'am, before you do that again, you need to move your cat."

One Day by Aaron Shust

One Day I will leave this body
And I will get a perfect one
That day I will see His glory
Shining like the noonday sun
One day, I'll take a walk with Jesus
He might explain the mysteries of life
Some say, I just can't believe it
But I know that one day

We will gather at the Crystal Throne
All these years: we1re finally home
I can actually see His face
And all I can do is say

Holy, Holy is the Lord Almighty
Who was and is and is to come
We lay our crowns before You
Every heart and soul adore You
The God of gods, Almighty One

One day, death will be abolished
And sin will have it's mastery no more
And I know that we will be astonished
At all that our Creator has in store
One day we will meet our Savior
And He will give each one of us a stone
Engraved with our names upon it:
Known by God alone

Article.....

One man's ambivalent retreat from his racist past

Intro:

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Elwin Hope Wilson leans back in his recliner, a sad, sickly man haunted by time.

Antique clocks, at least a hundred of them, fill his neat ranch home on Tillman Street. Grandfather clocks, mantel clocks, cuckoos and Westministers, all ticking, chiming and clanging in an hourly cacophony that measures the passing days.

Why clocks? his wife Judy has often asked during their 49 years together.

He shrugs and offers no answer.

Funny forward

A guy is 70 years old and loves to fish. He was sitting in his boat the other day when he heard a voice say, "Pick me up."

He looked around and couldn't see anyone. He thought he was dreaming when he heard the voice say again, "Pick me up."

He looked in the water and there, floating on the top, was a frog.

The man said, "Are you talking to me?"

The frog said, "Yes, I'm talking to you. Pick me up then, kiss me and I'll turn into the most beautiful woman you have ever seen.

"I'll make sure that all your friends are envious and jealous because I will be your bride!"

The man looked at the frog for a short time, reached over, picked it up carefully, and placed it in his front breast pocket.

Then the frog said, "What, are you nuts? Didn't you hear what I said? I said kiss me and I will be your beautiful bride."

He opened his pocket, looked at the frog and said,

"Nah, at my age I'd rather have a talking frog."
