Ruby Tuesday #3

I took these pictures at the Irvine Park Zoo down in Chippewa Falls, WI this summer. The pictures are take just a few seconds apart. I was squatting down and taking pictures through a chain link fence. Luckily, I was able to get back up :)

My mom thinks this is an UGLY rooster. I kinda like him.

Ruby Tuesday is hosted by Work of the Poet. Just post a picture with a little or a lot red in it, head on over there to see some other participants and let them know about your contribution. Lots of cool pictures are posted each week.

I side with your Mom. BUT I am a chicken lover, so this guy wins the prize. We have had chickens for over 35 years, and don't ever buy eggs from the store. Great post for RT. Have a happy day.

I'm prone to agree with Mom, but I love him anyway. This is the first time I've visited your blog, and I had to laugh when I read your profile. We had one of those "May not live..." teens, too. Well, she did live and is a wonderful 38 year old adult.

Aww.. what the heck happened to all his feathers! But, that's a great photo for RT. Thanks for visiting my site and for your kind comments. Cheers!

He is not particularly handsome, but 'stout' and 'mean' might be the appropriate adjectives in this case. He must rule the hen house with an iron fist...or beak is more like it.

Lovely (?) bird!

Great post for RT! He wants to see what you're up to, that's for sure. I love his red comb and wattles. :)

He looks a touch cranky to me. Glad you came away unscathed but with pictures captured.

This is a mean guy pardoned by President Clinton! He was almost on someone's table, even the Supreme Court had given up on him.
It is good you backed up! :-)
Thank you for peeking in on my Red Russian oldies, the bottom one is the Church of St. Dmitry on the Blood in Uglich, Russia. I had to just now check on-line to see what it was called.
Happy RRtU!

I think it's good looking rooster!

He's not exactly the loveliest rooster I've ever seen, but I wouldn't call him ugly either. Looks like he's missing a whole bunch of feathers, though.

Thank you to all for stopping by. I definitely appreciate it.

Jim, I appreciate your letting me know the name of that church. That was sweet.
