Awesome birds... We occasionally see them near the lakes here, but they're not nearly so cooperative about smiling for the camera.

Thank you all for stopping by. None of these birds is able to fly. They have all been permanently injured due to being hit by cars.

Columbia should be able to fly, but suffers from neurological damage due to ingesting lead.

What were the eagles doing that the cars could hit them? I am glad they are being cared for, and sad that they can no longer fly free.
